"Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it." – Rumi โ € When I'm outside in nature, that's when I have the best introspective talks with myself. โ € Recently I've been doing this hard scary work of looking internally at my own barriers I've built up over time. #BlackContentCreators are finally trending because I have a ton of new followers including many brands I have been trying to work with for years and got nothing! Not even a no not at this time, we are going in another direction – just straight ignored. … … But I see yโ€™all wanna be all diverse now and put some color on your feed! … … As I stated the other day brands need to put their money where their mouth is when it comes to hiring and collaborating with travel bloggers of color. #runmemycoins … … It is not enough to start following me on Instagram a platform that is designed and created for white bloggers. …. … As @shontay_lundy stated Instagram is not exempt from oppressing Black Brands. Why is it white brands can get that little blue check but Black Brands need to cut their arm off and give their first born away for that little blue check๐Ÿง๐Ÿง๐Ÿง … … Thanks for joining Passports and Grub on journey to explore the world and my love of cocktails and food. … … 1. I am from @memphistravel and graduated from the University of Memphis with a degree in Psychology. 2. I love luxury travel, boutique hotels and street food. Mane, ainโ€™t nothing like eating street food in Costa Rica, Mexico or the Czech Republic. 3. My family and I have been very to fortunate travel to some of the most beautiful destinations in the world. I canโ€™t decide if @visitcz , @visit_costarica , or @amalfi coast is m favorite. 4. I also love the Caribbean, blue water, and my favorite dish in the Caribbean is fish in a foil! OMG delicious! 5. I love sharing my experiences with my audience and my ultimate dream is to have my own travel show because I am funny AF. Also, on my vision board is to featured in @essence , @afarmedia and @travelandleisure … … We know African American travelers contributed $63 billion to United States tourism in 2019. … … Black women alone spend $55 billion dollars according to Nielsen data but brands still have a hard time using their trade fund dollars to market to people of color. Why? … … With all of that being said Welcome to my page and I look forward to sharing with you so please feel free to engage and share.

When you invite or ask someone to travel with you and you donโ€™t intend to go alone, you are essentially asking them for permission! . This year Iโ€™m saying Hell No to asking someone for permission to do something. Permission to visit an art museum, permission to see a movie, permission to go out and explore the ๐ŸŒ. Permission to visit a beautiful destination like Cartagena, ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ด Colombia. . . Iโ€™m finally on my first solo trip and Iโ€™m doing everything I want to do without asking for permission. This trip itโ€™s ALL ABOUT ME. ๐Ÿ‘ธ๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ‘†๐Ÿฝ Grateful for my blessing. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ Itโ€™s time to live! Cool Vibes Only!

Iโ€™m so sad ๐Ÿ˜ญ I was supposed to be In Cartagena right now! Hosting 15 other women but Rona stopped my plans. Unfortunately the borders are still closed. But be on the look out, new dates coming soon. Send me a virtual hug ๐Ÿค— . . The town called San Basilio de Palenque is a town that was formed by freed slaves in Colombia! The people in the community continue to practice African traditions! They are proud to be African even though they are Colombian! Many people donโ€™t embrace the African lineage, but believes me it runs strong through our blood! . . I have a wide range of interests and hobbies and generally enjoy the notion that variety is the spice of life. That’s why I don’t want my Instagram (and Facebook, and Twitter) feed to be homogenous. It thrills me to find and follow and engage with people from around the world, who experience something like travel in different ways than I do and from each other.
