United Strangers isn’t just a coffee shop—it’s a one-stop destination for great coffee, gifts, and snacks. They serve Pallet Coffee and offer vegan-friendly options, including snacks from local bakeries.

What I Love: I often stop here after a day on Mount Seymour to warm up with a soy latte and browse their gifts, which include local artisan goods. It’s the best place to pick up something unique or just enjoy a relaxed atmosphere.

This café is especially cozy in winter after a snowy day on Mount Seymour. Warm up with a soy latte and browse their gift selection for local artisan finds.

Recommended Order: A soy latte paired with a vegan baked treat from To Live For.

Parking: There’s a small lot, but street parking is also available. Be respectful of the residential area.

2. Bean Around the World

Location: 506 Chesterfield Avenue and 1151 Mt Seymour Road
Perfect for: Meeting friends or enjoying a relaxing coffee break.

Bean Around the World has long been a favourite in North Vancouver. The Chesterfield location was my favourite place to drop by during my work-from-home days, often ordering a London Fog to enjoy on their outdoor seating area.

With views down the hill of Burrard Inlet, it’s a cozy spot to take a break or catch up with friends.

What I Love: The neighbourhood feel and friendly staff make this café feel like home. It was my go-to meeting place for casual chats with friends. During autumn, the patio at the Chesterfield location is a lovely spot to enjoy a London Fog while taking in the crisp air and colourful leaves.

Recommended Order: London Fog

Parking: Street parking is usually available.

More Nearby: Combine your visit with a day at the Shipyards District—from waterfront walks to markets, it’s a great area to explore. Find more ideas in my Vancouver Staycation Guide.

What I Love: Their commitment to sustainability is inspiring, and their Organic Guatemala is one of my favourites (out of all the coffee I’ve ever had) for its smooth, balanced taste.

In summer, grab a coffee to-go and head to the nearby Lynn Headwaters for a peaceful afternoon by the water.

Recommended Order: A dark roast coffee (check with staff for vegan options).

Parking: Street parking is available nearby.
