Looking for a peaceful getaway that’s close to Vancouver? The Sunshine Coast is the place for you! I went to the Sunshine Coast several times, and each time was different. The Sunshine Coast is great for family trips from Vancouver.

The Sunshine Coast is made up of many small towns that are easy and quick to get between, so you can really explore a large portion of the Southern Sunshine Coast. To get to Powell River and Lund, you’d need to take a second ferry and drive further, meaning I’d only recommend that if you have 3 days available.

The Southern Sunshine Coast includes Gibsons, Roberts Creek, Sechelt, Halfmoon Bay & Secret Cove, Pender Harbour, and Egmont.

Located about 40 km away, it’s just a 1 hour and 14-minute ferry ride from Horseshoe Bay to Langdale, which is 10 minutes away from Gibsons.
